This December will be full of activity in Casco! The Oficina del Casco Antiguo has
been organizing and supporting several events to celebrate the 10th year of Casco
Antiguo as World Heritage Site and for December.
It starts the first week of December with a sculpture show through out the Casco.
A number of different angels made by well known panamanian and international artists
will be installed on different places and buildings… a great twist to the annual
Christmas decoration!
Then, from the 12 to the 16th of December we will have a very interesting Dance Festival
called SobreSaltos, organized by Tejido Sutil and the Oficina del Casco Antiguo, and
hosted by local businesses (well, like Arco Properties and Conservatorio … of course!).
It is urban dance: street dance, vertical dance, people will dance hanging from fasades
of buildings…
Seven dance companies coming from France, Spain, Colombia, Venezuela and Panama will
be performing on plazas, streets and buildings… for free. Check it out at: www.sobresaltospanama.com
The opening is on Wednesday 12th, at 7 p.m. at Plaza Herrera. Here is the full schedule:
