Panama Casco Viejo
This was a hectic weekend! while in USA, presidential candidates jumped through hoops to have all details ready for today (Presidential Election Day), in Panama this past weekend was the first “round” of patriot holiday celebrations:
Nov. 3rd : Separation from Colombia
Nov. 4th: Flag Day
Nov. 5th: Colón Province Day
More coming! 10th and 28th are around the corner. With its 339 years old, Casco Viejo dressed its balconies with flags to celebrate its 109 years as the Republic of Panama. I sometimes wonder if Casco was an actual “person” what stories wouldn`t it tell!!!
One big thank you to the City Cleaning Department. Those guys worked hard, so I`m naming them the most valuable and patriotic part of the parade!
