I was buying a gift at the Canal Museum´s gift store and found amazing treasures. I learned that Panama´s oldest newspaper, La Estrella, has decided to re publish some of the news from early republic and before… way before. Found out that 1868 was a pretty tough year! the Isthmus was a wild place! But then, by 1904, articles included “20 Reasons to Invest in Panama”… I had to buy all the copies. For less than $3 an edition, you get an amazing potpourri of real history, news and adds that are to die for.
