Casco Viejo, Panama, Casco Antiguo
One of the fun things about living here is the number of art events that pop up throughout the year, summer being particularly good!
Here is a small calendar I received yesterday, with performing arts and even movies. This is being organized by artist Ela Spalding with support of several Casco Viejo organizations and businesses such as Fundacion Calicanto, Los Del Patio, Espacio Panama and Diablo Rosso.
January 25th: Movie night at Diablo Roso, 7:30 p.m. PINA
January 27th: Los Del Patio first Anniversary! art show by a bunch of artists, including Brook Alfaro, Yiyi Ibarra, Emily Zhukov and others. Calle 3era and Central Avenue.
January 28th: 3d3 at La Vecindad. Starting at 8 p.m. Awilda R. Lora and dancer Ela Spalding, with artists from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. Location: A Avenue, between 4th and 5th.
February 3rd: Art show at Santa Familia (Calle 4ta and A Avenue) at 7 p.m. and then at Espacio Panama (Calle 2nda) at 8:30 p.m.
February 4th: “Passing Through” : Outdoors performances:
4 p.m. at Central Avenue, by the Santa Ana park
5 p.m. at Plaza Herrera
6 p.m. at Casa Arias
