Love Chocolate? Love Casco Viejo!

Panama Casco Antiguo, Casco Viejo Yesterday we passed by Casa Sucre, the coffee shop at B Avenue and 8th street and was very, very impressed with their chocolate cake.  What a beauty! To kind of justify the calories, we ordered a mango & spices tea. Fantastic combination! Fully recommended. And speaking of chocolate and tea, Espacio Karuna at Los Del Patio have started to do “Chocolate, tea and yoga” events more often. Here is the info!

Barlovento at Casco Viejo

Panama Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Roof top terraces are always nice experiences, specially during summer: fantastic breeze and the feeling of openness that calls for a great cocktail.  Barlovento is all roof terrace, a chill out corner at Central Avenue and 10th Street, a couple of steps away off from Plaza Herrera. Count the stars sipping a tropical Mojito!

Beautiful Thought

Panama Casco Viejo So often you sit down to have beautiful thoughts… while walking by Plaza Herrera, we saw this bench with a thought already embedded! “Old neighborhood that brings back sweet memories of my childhood”

Carnivals are almost here!

Panama Casco Viejo This weekend, the whole country will go upside down. Almost everyone in Panama City will travel to the country side, in a massive exodus to celebrate until Wednesday all they can celebrate. Many will be with their families, and towns like Las Tablas, Penonomé and just anything with beaches will be the primary destinations. This year we`ll stay behind, in Casco Viejo, and enjoy the almost unbelievable transformation of an entire capital gone ghost town! What we`ll do in Casco? probably join the kids who will run after anyone they see with a bucket of water and … Continue reading

On Sunday everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl at El Sitio del Casco (what a game!) and today the whole country will tune into the soccer game Panama vs Costa Rica.  Here it will be an event at the newly opened Barlovento, Casco`s new spot at the corner of Central Avenue and 10th. From there, it will be straight up partying from Saturday until Wednesday (carnivals) and finally on February 16th your soul will find peace at Los Del Patio with a nice, relaxing event … Continue reading

Casco Viejo, Panama After being away for a while on vacation, we just came back to a good number of new stuff going on! We just missed on an audio visual festival, but we look forward to the Film Festival coming to Casco this April. I`ll post more on that later. This Sunday, our friend Matt Landau will proudly represent Casco on the second edition of IronMan Panama.  Big OMG on that one! And also, a number of little places have been opening their doors to our delight, or counting their first anniversary birthday candle. Casco keeps moving forward! here … Continue reading
