Panama, Casco Viejo
During the 80`s and 90`s Casco Viejo fell to its lower point. Completely abandoned, it created a reputation as a dangerous place, not to be visited by anyone. In 1998, when it got designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO the revitalization process started, and today, it hosts some of the finest homes, restaurants, bars and cultural events in the city.
The younger generations have started to “return” and inject their energy through art galleries and more. The most recent “injection” of love has been launched in the form of a website: Yo Amo Casco (I Love Casco), a site that promises to be a great place to find the latest on cultural events, nightlife and just life in Casco Viejo.
