Panama, Casco Viejo: Casco Antiguo Picture of the week! by Thomas Griffioen

Panama, Casco Antiguo

Thomas was one of our first tenants in Casa Padrós, at the back of the ex music Conservatorio
building, in Plaza Herrera. Originally from Holland, Thomas has travelled all around
and spent quite some time in Panama all the way from Bocas del Toro to Casco Antiguo
taking fantastic pictures. We´ll be featuring some of his work in my blog. If you
happen to like any of them, please contact him at:

They are all so good, I´m having trouble to pick my first feature! but my favorite
one is the one with the lizard. I think it´s fantastic because it is very much the
Casco laid back spirit. These guys run a foam sculpture shop, they make props for
carnival and for miscellaneous shows. I´ve used them in my ballet performances (I
have a small ballet school) and they are great. The lizard on the top is their creation.
The funny part is that every time I pass by there is always, always, someone drinking
beer while (maybe) others work. Always happy to see you and to help you out!
