Yesterday was the inauguration of MACRO Fest 2011 in Casco Viejo. A week full with art exhibitions and a fashion weekend coming up! What to do and where to go? Here is the schedule!
But first: the Casco Viejo MAP
Please note that on Saturday, they`ll turn Casco into a fully pedestrian area starting at 5 p.m. But you can access with your car until 4 p.m. and park comfortably at several spots that will be joined by a fun golf cart. There are spots at Las Clementinas, Santa Familia (A Avenue), at Central Avenue (near La Merced Church, at Plaza Herrera and the classic ones at the National Theatre. If you come for the party at night, then park at Cinta Costera and take the shuttle that they`ll have running around.

Movies at the Panama Canal Museum: showing today and tomorrow, starting at 6:00p.m. (Wednesday) and at 7 p.m. (Thursday). Ph. 211-1649

You`ll see different spaces throughout Casco intervened by a group of artists. Who and where?
Jonathan Harker will take on a fasade next to the Cathedral.
Miky Fabrega: basketball field at Plaza Herrera
Ramon Zafrani: empty lot at A Avenue and 4th Street, next to Arco Properties office.
Manuel Choy: fasade next to Convento de Jesús at A Avenue and 7th street.
Elena Garuz: Plaza Herrera
Francisco Barsallo: La Vecindad, A Avenue, between 4th and 5th.
Analida Galindo y José Amaya: Santa Familia at A Avenue and Calle 4ta, Dance Performance.(March 18th and 19th, at 9:00 p.m. )
