Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo
By Patrizia Pinzón
This year is close to an end, but for Panama the high season is just getting started. COVID has given all of us many challenges and lessons. But also many insights. Buyers and tenants are coming out of it with a profound understanding of what makes them happy, especially in the spaces they live in. We have seen already a more confident client, asking for more light, more space, more bedrooms… for less money. Our top requests are for two bedrooms, two bathrooms, with a balcony. Some are willing to settle for a one and a half bedroom, where a studio makes it possible for them to receive guests or as a home office. As per open space, roof terraces are at the top of the list, and then balconies. Good news: parking has not being a must have, but rather something people are willing to lease outside the building if needed. And yes, views. Those requests never change.
We are already seeing tourists walking around, and some of the multinational staff that were only now able to fly looking for apartments.
All of this to say that now more than ever, owners need to spring into action. There is a lot of competition out there! Here are some tips to help you get the “smile factor” in every showing, and make the best of this season.
