The long time “under construction” corner of Calle 5ta and A Avenue is awakening, little by little. A restaurant on one side, and a shop on the next one. Today we`ll post about the shop: Galeria Latina.
Run by Obdulio Isarama, it features some of the best Wounaan and Embera baskets I`ve seen so far. The shop also features Latinamerican crafts, right now they have high end alpaca coats from Peru, silver crafts from Ecuador and the always lovable and irreverent Mexican scenes with tons of laughing skeletons in them.
