Casco Viejo, Panama, Casco Antiguo   The Alliance Francaise is presenting for free at the French Embassy in Plaza Francia (Las Bovedas) the show “Dialogue coco- bamboo, Biodiversity, Humanity and Art” by artist Valérie Leblet.  The show, which took a year to put together, will be part of a broader event featuring workshops and talks about nature and all things green. Casco Antiguo, Panama Last Sunday, a group of eighteen artists joined from an art organization called SEMBRARTE hands with AVACA, Casco Viejo`s Friends and Neighborhood Association to create beautiful garbage cans that will be donated by this non profit to the neighborhood. Panama Casco Antiguo Last night, we got a treat of scenes from La Boheme, the beautiful opera by Giacomo Puccini, at the launching of a real estate event (Viveros Island at the Pearl Islands).  It was beautiful, and I learned they are coming to town with the full production in October! The opera will be playing at the National Theatre from October 11th to the 14th. According to what I`ve been reading about the opera, it aimed to show scenes of life of bohemians at the Latin Quarter in Paris, around 1830 /40`s. Casco Viejo, Panama Slideluck Potshow is an art event that joins the community by inviting everyone to  bring a home cooked dish to share and enjoy the art slide show they`ve put together for the occasion. Their first event was two years ago at Arco Chato and was fantastic. This time, the show will be at Espacio Panama on 2nd Street and A Avenue. Casco Viejo Panama The name of Bruce Quinn in Panama is synonym of “theatre” and “musicals”. Since I can recall, Bruce has been an unstoppable dynamo, year after year bringing us beautiful productions, anything from Chicago to Annie and even plays by local writers and singers.
