Creative Solutions: iphones, laptops and more!

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Ops! dropped my phone and  broke the screen. How many times we´ve gone through something like this. And then what a pain: while there are several ways to go about it, the awful truth is that most likely we will allow this situation to go on and on until it starts cutting our face or not even being able to use the touchscreen again. And by then we are on a different stress diagnosis. No need! if you live in Casco, just go Creative Solutions. Located at 3rd street , at Los Del Patio, they … Continue reading

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo It is becoming more and more popular: people crossing Casco Viejo in their weekend running/bicycle path, and organizations creating marathons using Casco as one of their starting or finishing points (better if finish line, as they go straight to Unido for  coffee AND cookies…!) Here are some photos of last weekend´s marathon. Loved it! everyone showed up, even people running with their kids (and pets!) on strollers… awesome.

Carnivals in Panama

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Today is “Sábado de carnaval”, everyone is out either at the beach or at one of Panama´s countryside towns to celebrate. Casco gets pretty quiet, but if you walk to Central Avenue, you´ll see everyone buzzing, buying lottery tickets, hats, wigs and food, getting ready for the weekend and the parades.  Salsipuedes also has a traditional sale of school books, as the school calendar starts right after carnivals. We prefer to avoid the big party at Cinta Costera, if you are in Panama city, do explore Central Avenue or head to the beaches, specially Taboga … Continue reading
