Lifestyle at Panama`s Historic City Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Art Block is an art event that is held at Casco Viejo (Panama) the last Thursday of every month (only through Panamanian Summer). For a night, several businesses organize street parties and art related events. Tomorrow is March`s Art Block and this time they`ll go green… Enjoy!

I got inspired by a beach cleaning that the Casco Viejo community did through the neighborhood association (AVACA) into doing a plastic bottle Christmas Tree. Casco Viejo Panama Panama Casco Antiguo Real Estate and Lifestyle at Panama`s historic district Last week, Casco Viejo`s neighborhood association (AVACA) built a Christmas Tree out of recycled bottles. It was built with the help of local kids and Aprojusan (an ngo that works with them providing afterschool programs such as art workshops) as part of AVACA`s goal to create awareness in Casco Viejo about recycling. First in 50 years: Turtles Nest in Casco Viejo, Panama!

My dad, who grew up in Calle 6ta San Felipe and who never had a talent for surfing (or dangerous sports like my uncles who practiced a bit of everything including parachuting) always got the job of watching out for sharks (yes, sharks) and alert his friends who would be swimming or surfing at the point break (still existing) by Plaza Francia (Las Bovedas). My Eco Casco Viejo Christmas Tree
Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Lifestyle and Real Estate at Panama City’s Historic District Last year, I made a Christmas tree with newspaper and trash collected from the beach. This year, I got inspired at the last beach cleanup in Casco Viejo by AVACA and decided to go with green plastic bottles. So here they are! not yet a “before and after” but an inspirational photo. I picked up a bit more than 110 bottles on Sunday morning, at the Club Union site and surrounding beach. Wao.
