Beautiful night photo of Casco Viejo

Panama Casco Viejo – Casco Antiguo Cameras are amazing, check out this shot I took with this new camera that I got (thanks family!) for my birthday.  Photographer Ken Milburn gave me some tips, as I was totally lost with the new set of buttons. Paid off! still, can´t say I did it, this was all “Sony”. But I`m glad it captured a great full moon set, the peace you feel at night at Las Bovedas is beautiful.

Sunday is for gardening

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Finally I had a Sunday where my biggest preoccupation was to attend my garden.  I`m the laziest gardener ever, and even on weekends I get stuck on so many things! but yesterday I was delighted to choose between singing to my plants and walking my dog.  Panama is such an easy place to do urban gardening, that even I can have a cool collection of herbs and plants. Here are my photos!

Coppelia this week at National Theater

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Everyone who knows me knows I have a soft spot for ballet, specially good ballet and good ballet danced by friends. Last night, Coppelia checked all the boxes: choreography and direction by Russian and Czech`s masters Vasily Medvedev and Stanislav Feco, dance by my former troupe Panama`s National Ballet, female leading rol by friend and beautiful dancer Alexa Gutiérrez and male leading rol by former student of our ballet school, Solieh Samudio. Moringa in Casco Viejo

Panama, Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo The first time I heard the name was buying tea at Casa Sucre. Alyce had this “Moringa” tea that tasted great and apparently was not only good but super good for you. The name sounded so funny and the photo of the leaves seemed familiar, just I couldn´t place it in my mind. But then my husband pointed out to me: remember that tree Spencer planted in Calle 4ta that he said it is being proposed as the solution to malnutrition in Africa? I couldn´t believe it, the famous “Tree of Life” was right in … Continue reading
