My Mini Eco Easter Celebration

Panama Casco Viejo A while ago I started to make my own Christmas Tree using recycled stuff. This obsession has now spread to other holidays, and today I`m trying with Easter.  What I like about this small project is that it took literally nothing, it was fun to do and gave me instant gratification. My kind of thing! These rocks I picked up at Casco`s beach in Calle 4ta, painted them last night and made the nest with some palms I found around. Voila! Looking forward to the next holiday…

Capital Bistro Panama opens in Casco Viejo

Panama Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo Last night we enjoyed a fantastic sunset at the roof terrace of Capital Bistro Panama, the new restaurant in Casco Viejo, and the only one directly off Plaza V Centenario. What a killer position! Views of modern Panama City and Casco Viejo. Modern decor inside, they seem to be leaning towards tapas. My best picks so far have been the “Mero” and the “Robalo” (Snook).  They also have a beautiful chocolat fondant!

Shopping for Antiques in Casco Viejo, Panama

Panama Casco Viejo, Casco Antiguo One of the founders of Arco Properties had a passion for antique furniture. I learned a lot from him, developing an eye for interesting stuff hidden in the houses in the barrio. I always thought there would be a good niche for an “antique stuff” district in Panama, and that it should logically be in Casco Viejo. Well, I think I got my wish! little by little… That place is Plaza Arango. A few steps away from Las Clementinas, you will find now three antique vendors, one beside the other. The oldest one in the … Continue reading
